My Top Tips to Book Travel

  • Consider your goals, preferences, and budget in advance
  • Utilize a consultant who has inside industry knowledge and experience
  • Ask about deals and perks accessible only to travel agents
  • Travel during non peak season and even departing mid week for better rates and deals.
  • Allow more time then what you think you will need. Incorporate rest days or less scheduled days.
  • When traveling international and/or with small children, consider an extra day or two at the first location to acclimate to the new time zone or recover from the travel day.
  • Pack carefully and early. This allows you to feel less rushed and also helps you pack less. Use a great packing list!
  • Plan flights and departure times with what works best for your family. If you are morning people take those often discounted early flights, if you prefer not to travel during nap times pick a time accordingly. If a night owl, book a later flight, etc. Book what works for your family and set yourself up for success.

A Lifelong Love of Travel

My love of travel began when I was just nine years old. A family trip to Disney World — especially the World Showcase at Epcot — sparked a fascination with cultures around the globe. From that early moment, I knew I wanted to help others discover the magic of travel too.

During college and after, I worked for the Disney Company and began planning trips for friends and family. That passion eventually led me to a professional travel career — first as a travel agent and then as an international tour director with Tauck Tours.

For 12 amazing years, I led Tauck Tours across five continents, managing 12 different itineraries. From small-ship cruising in Australia and New Zealand to land tours in France, Ireland, Alaska, and the U.S., I’ve had the joy of guiding guests through some of the world’s most iconic and inspiring destinations.

I’ve also have traveled on river cruises, African safaris, and loved leading family-focused adventures — including multigenerational tours for guests from ages 3 to 93. These experiences taught me how to plan truly seamless and personalized trips for all types of travelers.
